Rex-Goliath

Rex Goliath is a pretty cheap yet good Cabernet Sauvignon made in California.

There's some back story about a giant 47 lbs rooster.  What a rooster and wine have in common, I couldn't tell you.

But at $4.00 a bottle, enough said.

Cheap + Good = I will definitely buy it again

Entwine

Entwine is apparently made at some winery that has some ties to the Food Network.  This bottle of Merlot is made in California.

At about $12.00 a bottle, it's not a bad choice at all. Bonus points to this wine because they give you wine - food pairing recommendations on the back of every bottle and online.

One of my favorites.

Twisted

So obviously, this is a bigger bottle of wine (1.5L). I had to buy it because of the name, Twisted.  Another Merlot on my list, also from California.

This bottle goes for about $13.00.  It was a good choice. It wasn't bitter or weird tasting at all.

Pinetti Notte

This bottle of Pinetti Notte is a Primitivo Italian wine.

Pretty cheap at around $7.00 a bottle and pretty tasty.  I like it, so yeah, I would buy it again.

Purple Moon

A family friend brought over this bottle called Purple Moon.  The bottle says it's a Shiraz from California.

From my research, this bottle is a Trader Joe's exclusive and there is no actual Purple Moon winery.    It also looks like it cost about $4.00.

Gave me a decent buzz so I guess I'm not complaining.

Black Swan

This bottle of Merlot I tried is from South Eastern Australia.  It's made by Black Swan.

It goes for about $7.00 and was pretty good.  There's really no good reason for why I chose this bottle other than it was cheap.

Doesn't really stand out too much in my mind, but it's not bad either.

Chateau Ksara

I decided to spend a little more than normal and went for Chateau Ksara from Lebanon.  I bought a 2009 Reserve Du Couvent which I think is a combination of Syrah, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Again, I know nothing about wine tasting or what to look for in color, taste or odor.

What I do know is that this bottle cost me about $25.00 (possibly because I bought it from a restaurant and not the liquor store).

All the same, I liked it a lot.  It was smooth, tasted great and it had that color of burgundy wine that you see people drinking in the movies when they're all high class and posh.

I would definitely buy this one again.

Our Daily Red

Our Daily Red.  Perfect for a Sunday.  I chose this wine cause the name was obviously a play off "Our Daily Bread", which seems somewhat sacrilegious which is perfect for me because I don't really believe in God or the church, or much of anything for that matter.  I wouldn't consider myself an atheist.  I just don't give a shit, simply put.

Our Daily Red is  2010 California Table Wine that claims to be organic. I've never heard of organic, vegan friendly wine, but if happen to care about that stuff, this is the wine for you.

It cost $5.99 a bottle and doesn't taste that bad.  More importantly, I caught a very nice buzz after the second glass.

Would I buy it again?  Only on Sundays.

Moselland

I don't normally do white wine, but yet again, the bottle caught my eye.  This interesting bottle is a 2008 Mosel Riesling Kabinett from Germany by Moselland.

It goes for about $12.99 a bottle.  Truth be told, I've had better Rieslings, but the bottle is just so damn cool.

So yeah, I'd buy it again.  Only for the bottle, not for the wine.

Mad Housewife

Mad Housewife.  The name alone is why I bought the wine to begin with.  This particular bottle is a Cabernet Sauvignon from California.

At only $7.99 a bottle, this one by far is my favorite.  Though I can't prove it, I kinda feel like Mad Housewife is a rip off of Angry Girlfriend. I sound a little full of myself, don't I?  It's because I am.

Which came first? The blog or the wine?  The world may never know.

Taste good (finished the whole bottle in one night) and the name is awesome.

Would I buy it again?  Fuck yes!

Fox Grove

This tiny bottle of Fox Grove I happened to try in flight from IAD to LAS yesterday.  I couldn't find an actual site for this winery.  I can tell you that it is a red wine.  Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon from South Eastern Australia.

I didn't really drink it for taste, as my goal was to get as drunk as possible (it was a 5 hour flight).  But at $7.00 a bottle for 187ML, that was definitely not going to happen.

Would I buy it again? Maybe.  Not on board an aircraft though.

Monogamy

The bottle of Monogamy I had was a 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon wine from California.

Cute label and it tastes pretty good.  How girly and lame of me to like a wine because of the label, but I can't help it.

Not too pricey either.  This particular bottle cost about $11.99.

Would I buy it again?  Hell yeah.

Luna di Luna

The bottle of Luna di Luna I tried was a 2009 Merlot Cabernet from Italy.

It claims to be "a charming and alluring wine with a romantic yet daring spirit that adores intimate occasions".Cost about $9.99 a bottle.  The bottle is pretty cool looking but the wine taste like shit.

Maybe it was just a bit too sweet for my taste.

I drank the whole bottle anyway.  Would I buy it again?  For a dinner party? Yeah, sure.. What the hell?  Again, the bottle is pretty cool looking and it's under $10.

For myself? Probably not.
